Anguline Research Archives have commenced a major project to scan the collection of Wakefield Electoral Registers and Burgess Registers held by the library.

These are unavailable in digital format anywhere else.

We are pleased to announce the first release in this series, which is also our 500th CD -

Register of Electors for Wakefield 1911-1919, which also includes Absent Voters Lists for 1918 and 1919 (men who served in World War One). Over 2000 pages of information, in searchable pdf format.

Published in 1901.

This extremely rare directory covers the Yorkshire city of Wakefield and the surrounding areas of Alverthorpe, Belle Vue and Outwood.

It comprises alphabetical, trade and street directories, as well as various advertisements for local businesses.

Many names of people are included.
Useful for genealogy and local history.

Anguline Research Archives have just released -

Interments in the Burial Ground of the Baptist Chapel, Ossett, West Yorkshire
This unique CD includes a plan of the burial ground, showing the numbered plots.
It also includes scans of the original register, detailing those buried in the various plots.
Plus a transcription of the register.
In addition it contains transcripts and photographs of all headstones visible in 2001.
This is the most complete reference to the Ossett Baptist Chapel burial ground in existence anywhere.
