The Common Room / Imperial Service medal S A Taggart
« on: Sunday 07 April 24 10:21 BST (UK)  »
I am not having any success tracking down a record for an Imperial Service medal award for Stanley Archer TAGGART. it was a George V issue so 1910-1936.
Would anybody be able to assist please?
Hope this is the right forum!

James Toole joined Liverpool Regt  as Number 5099. He deserted and rejoined Manchester Regt as 9833 James Eastwood, he was caught some years later and from what I gather was court martialed?? then he was referred to as James Foy of the same Regt.
Would anyone have any input on how this worked? The Regiment letting him change his name again after getting caught the first time. ALSO , I am trying to track down any census records before and after he joined the military.
I know he married Catherine Brimelow in 1913 as James Eastwood.
Thanks to anyone that has researched cases like this.

Thank you Cathy and Shaun, This looks like the same soldier. The Putney and RMF connection are right.
Could I ask where I can access the Surrey recruitment registers?
