Thanks Carol
I'd already done a search but can't afford to buy every certificate in order to check them  :)
As I don't know when or where he remarried or his new spouses name I was hoping somebody might be able to narrow it down for me. Maybe encountering his wife in their research or something.
I was also hoping for some local info regarding convents in the area at that time.

I am looking for Alfred Gibson who I can't find after 1918.
Born 1879, in the London area, a widower although he allegedly did remarry at some time. He would have moved to Middlesbrough after his wife died in 1918, had at least one child staying either with him at 18 Middlesbrough Rd East in 1923 or in a nearby convent.
Do you know anything about him or who he remarried?
Do you know of any nearby convents or homes run by religious orders at about that time?
I only know the above details through a death certificate of  a child who died in Broomlands hospital in 1923 and I am trying to find out more.
Thank you
Eddie

No harm in hoping  :)
Thanks for the map details though - it's nice to see where your relatives were born.

Thank you all very much - we even bought the 1938 A-Z and it wasn't on that
Must have been demolished in 1937 as it still existed then
and thanks Dawn, for the map.

That was really quick too .

Can anyone help me find this place?
My relative was resident there in 1937 but I've never been able to find it on a map.
Is it a street or a building - I don't know.
Can anyone help?
TIA
Eddie
