Pembrokeshire Lookup Requests / Tom Thomas look up 1891
« on: Monday 06 June 05 20:40 BST (UK)  »
Further to my post to find a Thomas Thomas family in Green, Pembroke St Mary before 1881 I would like to trace a possible grandson of Thomas Thomas in 1891.  The only record of a likely Thomas family at that address seems to be the marriage of a son and daughter of Thomas Thomas!  In order to confirm which is my William Thomas I'm hoping that SKS will find Tom (Prosser) Thomas in 1891 when he would likely have been 3 (26 in 1915).  Tom's father, William, is an engineer.  Thank you.

Hi VAT

Thank you very much for that.  If this is the correct family (I've got a double match for William - engineer and from Pembrokeshire) then I've got a starting point to look for details of my husband's grandfather and his family.  This is a case of his parents splitting up and his mother not keeping in touch with his family.  Unfortunately there's nobody alive who can give me information as his aunt died before internet research became possible.

Pembrokeshire Lookup Requests / Thomas THOMAS, 1871 Census and earlier

Could SKS tell me who was living at Green, Pembroke St Mary prior to 1881 where I have the following family:

Thomas THOMAS, head, tailor, 48, born Man O Bier
Elizabeth, wife, 44, born St Mary's as are all the children
Fanny, 19
William, 18, engineer
Frederick, 17, school teacher
Robert, 16, engineer
Mary J, 15
Minnie, 12
Richard, 10
Sarah E., 9
Florence, 7

I'm trying to connect William to a Tom Thomas who married a Florence Mary Annie Richards about 1915 in Cornwall.  Relations lived in Ystalyfera, Glamorgan so somewhere along the line, if this is the correct family, some must have moved down south.  Tom was William's son and wasn't born until about 1895.  Until I can tie down the family to Pembrokeshire I do not know where to look for records.

All help appreciated.

Anna Thomas
