Thanks John.  I am ever hopeful that somebody will identify with my Jane (Smith) Beatty.  She is missing in Canada as well as we do not know where she is buried but can find most of the rest of her family together.

John:

I did check his listings sometime ago, should do that again.  I am researching Jane Smith who married Daniel Beatty in Arklow, Wicklow.  Difficult name to research as that is all I know about Jane.  I do know that they married in Arklow and lived for a time in Kilcarra.  They were neighbors at some point of a Thomas Smith.  Not a lot to go on I'm afraid so looking for anything I can.  They moved to Canada in 1818 whilst Daniel's brother and his family remained in Shelton, Wicklow.  Looking for any Beattys in the area as well.

I am also interested in the Old Kilbride Burial Register.  I have family buried there as well, Beatty, Sherwood and Smith and possibly others.

Cheers

Wicklow / BEATTY / SMITH

Looking for information on the Beattys of Co. Wicklow.  Daniel Beatty was born about 1778 and married Jane Smith in Arklow, Co Wicklow.  They lived with their family of 5 children in Kilcarra before going to Canada.  The children were Alexander, Thomas, John, Michael, and Ellen (or Helen).

Daniel had a brother John born about 1770 and who lived in Shelton, Co. Wicklow.  He was a member of the militia for a time.  We think his wife was Elenor.  They had 6 children, Michael, a daughter, Alex (Alar), John, Margaret and another daughter.  He is buried in Old Kilbride cemetery.  I did find Michael's stone at old Kilbride where it stated it was erected by his son Thomas (this is a family name).  Michael was married to Jane Sherwood in 1848 and her father was Thomas.  Michael also had a son John who died young at 18.

Any information greatly appreciated.  I am sure I still have family in that area although some moved to north, some in Wexford, some to Dublin.

I would very much appreciate a marriage look up for Laura May Baudains born 1890 married to Leonard Cottle born about 1895.  The marriage took place in St. Helier.  Laura's father was John E. Baudains and mother was Elizabeth Bree.  That is all the information I have.  Thank you very much.
