London and Middlesex / Wapping Marriage Licences
« on: Wednesday 14 July 21 20:15 BST (UK)  »
Evening all,

Does anyone know if marriage licences are viewable online?

I have banns from 1774 of
William Brown and Mary Moore.

They were married 10th September 1774. under Licences and the witnesses were William and Mary Moore (presumably her parents).

I'm looking for more info on William and Mary's parents and ancestors.

Thanks in advance.

England / WDYTYA: Inspiration Help
« on: Sunday 11 July 21 14:43 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

OK so I have been watching WDYTYA and the one of them was the Danny Dyer one.

In the middle the subject was on the English Civil War. It was said anyone of full age in the 1640s and 1650s would have had to have fought on one of the sides.

I've never thought much of the Civil war and it's affect on my family.

I have utterly no idea how to find out if any of mine were involved.

John Feldwick 1611-1662 of West Hoathly, Sussex.
John Gibb married 1634 Balcombe, Sussex.

Whilst I doubt I'll get back any further It'd be nice to know if they had any involvement.

Thanks for any help.

Looks like I may never know

Thanks again

Oxfordshire / Stonesfield Census'
« on: Saturday 10 July 21 17:30 BST (UK)  »
Afternoon one and all,

A plea for help.

Looking at the parish of Stonesfield, Oxfordshire I am after the addresses that the wife's ancestors may have lived.

1831: No address listed (Can't remember where on earth I located this info)
1841: No address listed.
1851: No address listed.
1861: Census destroyed ?
1871: No address listed.
1881: Possibly listed as Church Street but I cannot locate the entry on Ancestry. (RG11/1511.      Folio 93     Page 7.     Schedule 38.)

Where can I locate the addresses of the families there ?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Sorry it is for the family name is Oliver (Robert, Susanna, Mark, James, Jane)

AH Dang it.

Thanks Jon but no. My Maria Damer married Robert Jenkins in St. Mary's,  Lambeth in 1814 with parents consent.

Dang I thought I had it.
