Totally agree with you Sloe Gin, it certainly does depend on personal circumstances. For instance I find Ancestry is much better when researching Wales, on the other hand I find the Electoral Rolls & Marriage Finder on FindMyPast particularly good. At the end of the day when money is a bit tight you can't blame a person for wanting to find the best price possible & through the information given out here on Rootschat, a lot of us have saved a considerable amount on the Ancestry Subs. Thanks everyone for your contribution to this subject, my subscription has gone through at a 15% discount.

There is a Border crossing from Ottawa Canada destination Detroit, he had been staying with his cousin in Ottawa, it also states his Race/Nationality was Hebrew.

Mark G Cooper married Helen Goldgleid 15th May 1917 Detroit. It states parents Hyman & Anna Cooper both born Russia. Mark was born 25th April 1891 London

It's dated 30th July 1898 the girls name is Margaret J Harris & she stole a lady's hat & 2 spoons.

On the Marriage Certificate Rosie mentions it states Fred is an Upholsterer, Polisher Journeyman. On that tree he only has two children Dilys born 16/6/1913 & Gladys 29/8/1915.

The reply has come in from FindMyPast & it states" We do not offer higher than 15% loyalty discount to all renewing subscribers & I'm sorry you feel the way you do".

Short & to the point I suppose, so there we have it & that's all I'm getting.

I'm still confused as to why everyone seems to be paying different amounts ? The original e-mail I received stated they were offering me a 15% discount so I would be paying £101.96 instead of £119.95 & that is different to what others have quoted on here. So what package are they offering me?

Cuffie81 thanks for the link to PrawnCocktails thread & the info on subs Mark, I was having difficulty finding them on the site, they are not making it easy. No reply back from FindMyPast as yet.

Thanks for that information Cuffie81. When I clicked on the link you gave it took me to a page with Upgrade your subscription £13.33 per month * £159.99 single payment. Do you know if the USA newspapers are included?
