Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Please date this photo of Lucy Rix

I used to believe this photo was my 2 x Great Aunt who was born in 1900. But now believe it may actually be her mother who was alive 1875-1901.

Can you tell from the clothing she is wearing what year/decade this may have been taken?

Thank you

Thanks everyone. I'd not forgotten. I'm still none the wiser as to who this is. On the bottom of the photo I have a copy of someone had written the name James Sayner. That was my 4x Great Grandfather and 2 x Great Grandfathers names but the 1st one lived between the first dates I supplied and the second I have a picture of so know it's not him! Guess I'll never know!

Hi,

Could you please date this photo?

I believe this may be my 4 x Great Grandfather born in Hambleton, Selby in 1894

He passed away aged 49 in December 1853, due to the dates I have doubts as to whether this may be him as he was not a wealthy man so may be possible that he could not afford a photo portrait. Also it shows on the photo it was taken in Harrogate and not the Selby area.

I'm hoping that by dating the photo I may have an idea as to whether this may be him?

I'd also be happy with any restoration to make the image clearer

Thank you

Family History Beginners Board / Was my ancestor a Suffragette?
« on: Tuesday 06 February 18 15:21 GMT (UK)  »
This is a picture of my Great Great Aunt Doris Rix, born in Leeds in 1900, I'd like to know if today of all days the clothes she is wearing are similar to those worn by Suffragette's?

Hi

Would anyone please be able to sharpen the contrast on this photograph of my Grandparents Rose and Arthur's wedding in September 1949 it's a little blurry? Would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Can anyone date this picture of my Great Grandmother Ada and her friend? My Great Grandmother is the one standing in the picture.

I found this picture on ancestry, someone had attached it on their tree to my 4 x Great Grandfather James Sayner 1804-1853, I am not sure this is actually him. He lived in the Selby/Hambleton area and the photo appears to  have been taken in Harrogate.
Also if this does turn out to be taken before 1853,which I doubt I would like this picture restored and the writing removed if anyone is able to do so.
Much appreciated any help

Kind Regards
