Hi, my name is Susie Volante. I was born in Birmingham, and now live in Italy, in the area where my Grandfather Ernesto Volante was born. My late Uncle Len (born 1927) remembered the Ciangretta family.
Have a look at Pagine Bianche (Italian phone book) for Cianchetta. There are several of that name near me, and as all of us Birmingham Italians came from the same locality, this may be the original spelling. Good luck.

The family listed, starting with  'Lesidio' is actually CESIDIO Volante, and is my Great Grandfather's Brother. He was born in Gallinaro, Italy and came to live in Birmingham. All other names on the list are Cesidio's wife and children, and none of them went to Glasgow.
