Well at least I know it is not just me the 1st few times I came on I logged in and it still kept telling me I needed to log in until I went right to the bottom and saw classic or mobile mine was on mobile which I am using but I changed it to classic and it was fine some of us are not so lucky to have a laptop of 2 that their kids have not broken so hence I am using my mobile phone

Has Rootschat had some work done because I come on here on my mobile phone but have not been on here for couple of weeks now when I do I have to scroll right to the bottom every tine and click on classic or I cant see my profile, surname table, messages etc ?

Hi thanks for the info you found on some of my Burrows and your right they are hard to find they seem to be different places not together as a family in each census really odd even later on george burrows 1878 my g grandfather married Bridget Flynn 1880 but even tho they are married he lives one place and she another in the 1911 census dont understand it so thanks for having a go Jane

Hi can anyone please help me trace the marriage and hopefully the maiden name of Jane? 1800circa born in Hertfordshire she married John Burrows 1801 born Huntingdonshire I know in 1851 they resided in Market Place, Hitchin, Hertfordshire few of children are Louisa 1839, William 1833, Charles 1835 all born Hitchin, Hertfordshire really having trouble finding them as a family after 1861 appreciate any help thanks Jane

So thats why I got the victualler/virtualler wrong thanks for that its interesting to know and as for being gloomy I am just looking into how some of my ancestors died one especially at age 22 who died in the workhouse infirmary so I think its important as well. I bet a coal trimmer was a hard life I have alot who worked on the docks but were still in workhouses so suspect alot of work for little pay I love all the stories as well as just names the best part of researching

Marcie I would have love to have found someone who was a princess lol was it true? I have a daughther and before she left home would have put her down as a princess or rather acting like one and Prue yes I did know grandad Harry well took him his dinners all week til he died in 89 but I know what you mean my dads dad died when I was 2 so I never knew him and if it was not for my searching I wouldn't know anything about him Jane x
