« on: Saturday 11 February 06 15:33 GMT (UK)  »
THANK YOU>>>THANK YOU>>>>THANK YOU>>>>
This will be a great help.
Arnold was in the military back in the 1970's and stationed in Ireland.
He had come back to the USA on leave with a wonderful Irish wife to visit us in Pennsylvania in 1974.
My Mom,wrote letters to them on a number of occassions but she never heard back from them.
Thanks again...you are all so wonderful and helpful.

Dublin / I Need current Dublin Phone Directory info
« on: Monday 23 January 06 00:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi from western Pennsylvania,USA.
I was told I should ask Christopher for help,
so I hope you see this.
I recently located a letter date March 1975 written by my late great Uncle.
In the letter,he gave an address for my 2nd cousin,
Arnold Kunst ,who was living at that time at
(*)
Dublin,Ireland.
Is it possible to look in a current Dublin phone book to see if he is still there?
I'd really appreciate being able to locate him,as I haven't seen or talked to him since 1973 !!!!
Thank you for any help or suggestions that you might have.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Looking for Leigh Baptist Church information
« on: Saturday 22 October 05 19:59 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I am looking for information pertaining the the Leigh Baptist Church and its cemetery.
I have an old undated obituary probably from about 1910 thru 1920 for Thomas Gregory of 11 Twist Lane,Leigh.
Names connected with this church that are listed in the obit are:
Rev.R.D.DARBY,Pastor of the Leigh Baptist Church
Mr.E.BRATT,who was the organist
Rev.H.Ivor JAMES of Atherton, who gave the funeral benediction and J.M.REID who was the churches secretary.
Does this church still exsist....are there any records available...any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marianne in Pennsylvania

Lancashire / Hampson and Gregory families in Atherton,Leigh
« on: Sunday 16 October 05 03:42 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,
I'm new around here :)
I've located a few of my Hampson and Gregory ancestors in the census records already but my major question concerns what/who were known as the "Leigh Baptists" around the Wigan area in the early 1900s.
I have an undated obituary that I believe was clipped from an Atherton or Wigan newspaper for Thomas Gregory.
He was married to Jane Hampson Gregory.
They lived at 11 Twist Lane in Wigan.
Thomas was a coal dealer and a leader in the local Baptist church.
Can anyone tell me the name of this church or its location?
Are there any cemetery records available online for this church?
I'm looking forward to spending alot of quality time at this site!!! ;D
Thanks alot...in advance !!!!
Marianne in Pennsylvania,USA
