Wexford / New Ross Workhouse inmates
« on: Wednesday 04 December 13 20:14 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace my Great Great Grandmother who I believe died in New Ross workhuse, somewhere about 1880 I think her name was spelt Margaret Corcoran, but infact her name was Margaret Cochran she had been married to Hugh Hall Cochran (watchmaker) he died 1879, and I think Margaret went to live with her son and daughter-in-law Hannah &  Hugh Cochran in New Ross.

Wher could I find when and where she died. and was it in New Ross Workhouse?

Please help.

Heppy.

Did anyone know George Gilmore, my cousin, who lived in Howth. I would love to hear from anyone who knew George personally, as to what sort of man he was, and not so much the political side of him.
Thanks  I look forward to hearing from some of you.

Clare / Rebecca Adalaide Victoria TAIT
« on: Monday 04 November 13 08:00 GMT (UK)  »
Rebecca Adalaide Victoria Tait was the daughter of Rev William Corbett Tait of Factory Lane, Kilrush Co Clare.
I wonder does anyone have any information about Rebecca, who was my second cousin.
I know she was born about 1892 in Dublin and that she went to a boarding school in Londonderry and left there at about 18 years of age, but does anyone know what happened to her after that, did she get married,? if so did she have any children? and where any of her off spring are now ??

Please help me.

Hello Norh,

Hugh Hall Cochran was a protestant, I think Presbyterian, but not sure.

I hope this helps. What are the names of  all the cemeteries in Tandragee ?

Thank you for replying to my question for help.

Could someone be kind enough to do a look up for my Great Great Grandfather Hugh Hall Cochran who died  in 1879 and is supposed to be buried in Tandragee Cemetry

I can't get anywhere with finding any record of his grave.

Please can someone help me on this one as I have been trying for about 8 years now to find his grave and perhaps what is written on his grave stone.

Thanks you and regards

Heather

Armagh / Re: Related to these WATCHMAKERS

Hello Andy,

Thank you so much for your message, re - Cochran's from Lurgan 1800s I have found in the website a few Cochran's mentioned, Thanks,

I would still love to know if Edward Cochran watchmaker from Belfast was Hugh Hall Cochran's father but can't find any proof, also who Hugh's mother was. I have tried for years now to find her but got nowhere.

I also can't find anything about the Belshaw's. Hugh Hall Cochran married Margaret Belshaw, but I can't find anything about her family, when and where she was born. etc.

Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you if  as you say you discover anything else  re-Cochran's
