Hi all  :D

Thankyou all for your quick replies.  Rosie... we do have Charles and Sarah boarding at the age of 20 so this is the correct people.  Also Cath and Kay these do seem correct about the wedding as we knew about sarah having a sister Ellen and the church does seem local to where we believe they were so this all does seem to make sense.  The information from the 1881 census looks to be the right family and was new information for us.... thank you.

Hi All

Can you help on this Thread??

What I would like to know is the following...

Where or how do I find out about my ancestor Charles Sansom b.1881?  All I know is that he was a vagrant and is untraceable before he married Sarah Jobson in Birmingham.  I have been told that he had 2 sisters Jane and Kate, who had a secondhand shop in Birmingham.  I have tried to research him and have found several variations on his surname ie Sanson and Sansome but know that his proper name is Sansom.  I am trying to find his parents and other siblings and have come to a full stop.

Hope someone can help.
Brian.

Hi nanagrampy...

Many thanks for the link you sent me...The Photo of The Dog & Partridge I remember well....Seems such a pity that the Houses in the area were all demolished when the photo was taken.

Can vaguely remember the "Doctors" Houses on the other side of the street.

Also found some Interesting Photos of Bordesley Park Road in 1953....Coronation Day...

Brings back memmories..

Once again, many thanks...

Will continue to visit the site to see if they add any more Photos...

Still no joy in finding any of the Iron Duke though..

Brian.
