hello Omega1

Sorry to be a pain but how is your Husbands x Greatgrandfather, Reuben Easton/Eason ( born 1779, Bexhill) related to Thomas (born 1809, Bexhill). Is he an Uncle?

Kind Regards
Nicky

Sorry, I was referring to WW2.

My grandfather, Albert Edward Easton, born 19 May 1916 in Newhaven, Sussex. Drafted into RAF. Outside wartime he was a docker.

This link should show the weird rank:

Thanks everyone for your help to date. I really would appreciate any input.

Hi

I searched my Grandad's military records - see here

and the search threw up a list of possibles but one entry listed RI(I) under rank. Does anyone know what RI(I) stands for?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question.

Thanks and regards
Nicky

Hi NTC Worker

I have found the staff at Newhaven very helpful and the information they provide is free (some councils take note!)

Hi all,
I am looking for information on my great great great great grandparents:

Thomas Eas(t)on born in Bexhill ca.1810, died Newhaven 1874. Occupation mariner (Fisherman in 1871 census).
Sarah Eas(t)onnee Lower born abt 1813 in Newhaven.

I am especially interested to learn anything about their parentage.

Thanks in advance.
