Hi there,
I'm trying to track down my g-grandad James Cooper born around 1870/71 in Westminster (from info in census').
He seems to have lived around the Lambeth/Wandsworth/Battersea area until later in life when he moved to Patcham near Brighton. I know he was living there in Mackie Ave in the 1950's & probably died there late 50s or early 60s.
He had 2 natural children, my grandad James William Cooper (1893) & Catherine Rosina Cooper (1896) known as Kate.
After being widowed with 2 small children, he took up with Marianne Frances Garrad & had quite a few more children, althought they didn't marry until approx 30 years later!
I would like to get in contact with another poster on here, "saggy" as she has listed Cooper interests in Lambeth & Sussex. Maybe a red herring, but as we all know, never let a possibility pass without checking it out
