Geraldine  thanks also - i have managed to edentify the occasion - this is my nanas wedding the one in the middle , her bridesmaid was called Doris Hamer - the one to out left James Scholes , (witness) and grandad John Scholes, (these two are brothers but although they dont look alike they are !) then the bride seated my nana and the person to the far right is her older brother Andrew Hamer b 1877 - who is also father to Doris born 1902 - nana has a larger bouquet as well and johns button hole is different also her has a posher suit i think

Martin  have sent a copy of this lovely pic to my sister - hope thats ok . i now know that the man on the far right is my grand uncle and the brother to the lady (nan) as ive just seen another picture of him on ancestry but this time at his daughters wedding in 1935 and he looks few years older - i am now contacting the tree owner -

hi all

My son and i have been looking at photos all day and we now think that this is James Scholes my great grand uncle as he died in 1962 and looks the same person on my nanas wedding pic , possibly a marriage of someone in the family in 1959 it would put his age about 65 in this pic

Many thanks for the clean - im most grateful - grandad had two brothers so i suppose this could be their wedding  -here it is
