United States of America / news article
« on: Monday 06 February 12 19:42 GMT (UK)  »
I inherited a shoebox of photos, at the bottom was a news clipping about my granma judging at a fair. Upon showing box to my brother, the article went missing.  Is there a way to replace it. I have no clue where to start. Only hint I have is most likely the fair took place in Massachusetts, no date, no town,no name of fair. Her name was Esther Young. If I were to guess timeline would be 1930-1850. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or direction.. thank you

Thank-You very much. I couldnt figure out why google and other types of that search came up with nothing on the Wheatsheaf. At the rate our history and historical treasures are disappearing, I fear  when/if an opportunity to see  these places of interest to me, they will be gone. Can I ask if you have any friends that might be able to take photos of the building that housed the Waterside,i dont know if access to inside the building is  possible?

I just researched Waterside a bit more. I get the impression that Saltash nicknames it towns parts like Boston U.S.,Southie...Northend...etc. I am most interested in Wheatsheaf in 1851 as my ancestor George Steer was Inn Keeper at that time. I try to be thorough ans research plus or minus 20 years,to get a feel of the way the area changes. I must include Waterside in my searches. Thank-you for the insight.

thank-you very much for your time on this topic. But,  I have a question, what does Waterside have to do with the Wheatsheaf Inn?

I would like to request any information on the Public House called Wheatsheaf Inn circa 1820's - 1890's. Past/ present photo, address,owners...etc.  Any information would be more than I have at present... thank-you very much

David, thank you for your time and patience with me. Yes I neglected to state my comp got fried during ice storms in Dec.
I apologize for any curtness in my messages. You do a great favor for others and I can see where it would appear I misrepresent myself. I wont be posting about Cornelia again. I do appreciate your efforts
