Another baptism at Woodchurch
John Smith 29 March 1840
Parents Richard and Ann
Richard a Labourer
Abode Oxton.

Skimming through your previous post there is a post from Heywood [reply 3 ]
Giving the 1851 and 1861 census.
So could these two baptisms tie in with those records with Jonathan and John being different people?

The Cheshire Parish register has Thomas aged 24 so born about 1798
Ann was 19 so born about 1803.
The curate was George Okell, was he a relation?

Ann was a minor and a licence for the marriage was issued on the 17 May.
The actual marriage took place 22 May so one and the same person.
If you have access to FindMyPast you can view both records. ;)

Hi again,

I have found a burial record for a Hannah Ardern she was buried in Disley 18 April 1837.
She was 23 years of age so would have only been 18 when Sarah was born and 16 when she married William but it is a possibility.
As Disley is not far from Cheadle it might be worth keeping this one in mind.

Hi Tracy, welcome to Rootschat from me as well.

I find when using the Cheshire parish website that putting in the first  three or four letters of the surname will bring up all variations of that name.
I have an Arden ancestor, unfortunately not connected to yours, I found him transcribed on various records as Arden, Ardern, Arderne and even Hardern.

Do you know if Henry and Susannah moved to Oldham when they set up home together?
There is a birth record that could be relevant but as he could still be living I'm not printing it.
Search Renshaw 1943 Oldham.

I think that she was unable to marry Henry because Thomas was still alive .There is a death record  for a Thomas Renshaw who died in 1958 at the age of 52 which more or less fits agewise.
Perhaps Henry was also still married.
I can't see a birth record for Joe under Harrison or Renshaw.
