Was just about to post bapts from Llan-Gwm Uchaf, St Jerome, Parish Register.  Info on freereg.

Well done on finding marriage Osprey

Francis age 73, still alive in last available census, still at Wind Street living alone, *states married.  The death you found is a good possible to be him.

* Wife visitor in household of Jenkin & family.

Gloucestershire / Re: What happened to Noah SMITH?
« on: Monday 22 April 19 13:18 BST (UK)  »
Think this is the 1841 for Sarah, address Rowley, Cam, Glos

Piece: 347, Book:12, Folio:   6, Page: 6

All born in county

Ann Harwood   70
John Harwood   40
John Harwood   15
Sarah Smith   30
Stephen Smith   1 - could this be Walter?

The first 3 sons in 1851 census - Walter, Stephen & Charles, were baptised together in 1848 with same address 'Rowley', parents Stephen & Sarah Hadley.

So looks likely Noah died or they separated pre 1841?

Thanks for replying, to be honest that never occurred to me.  But now makes sense.

I will say I am still new to DNA matching and also not very techno savvy.

What I would like to see included, and don't know how difficult it would be for Ancestry to implement, is an icon or similar attached to individual profiles of those that have had, or have not, had DNA testing done.

This would cut out the match guesswork of those researching same family names - Have or have they not been tested?  Profiles include if there is a DNA match, but if there is not they don't say if a test has been taken.

At the moment it is just the standard xxx is not a match or has not yet taken a DNA test.  If there was an icon or similar you would know a test had or had not been done.  It could be as simple as a circle which is either coloured or not...

Or just state if a DNA test has or has not been done.

Hope that makes sense...

Have you tried Pontypridd Library.  They are very helpful, and have a range of FH resources
