Yes Thanks Sandra for your Input  - the Family have that and are going out next week.

But knew he was Wounded somewhere 16 April 1916 and awarded Wounded Stripe but want to know why and where.
But the History of the King's shows the 13th King's weren't in Action iin April 1916 to be Wounded.
Confused.

Brilliant ShaunJ
A bit of clue who may have been Thomas's Biological Father.
His Mother was a Widow of 5 years but on Thomas's Birth Certificate named his Father as Thomas a Drapers Assistant named Thomas Sparkes which isn't true.

You quoted Forgotten Soliers"
He was not entitled to any Medals for his Service
He was admissible for any War Gratuity
His Widow was eventually awarded a Dependents Pension

Whitchurch Library may have the Burial Records for Tilstock Church - probably all the Soldiers are buried in Unmarked Plots
My Granddad in WW2 was a Guard when it was a POW there at Prees Heath Camp before he was Transferred to Olham Glenn Mill POW Camp where he Died in 1943 and awarded a CWGC Headstone back in Liverpool because he was in Service
The Prees Heath Camp site is now a MOD Grain Store
