Hi Jackie,

I have a Michael Warren born in 1691 in Bushey, he married 1732 Susan (no surname given on marriage record), they had a son called Michael 1732-1745. Michael sen. was a "Parker" in London.
Don't know if this helps you at all.
Dianne

Thank you Kay, that link you provided was really good and explains the use of the burial ground in Chick Lane and the bay adjacent to St. Sepulchre church, which answers my question.

I have attached a page of the church records where the words are mentioned on each line.

Hello,
On the original pages from the 1752 burial church records of St. Sepulchre, London it has
"in bay" or "in chick" on each line, which I presume refers to a part of the church. Am I correct in my assumption?
Thank you

Family History Beginners Board / Re: Elizabeth Warren

In the Will of Elizbeth Storer dated 10 November 1769 one of her beneficiaries is her nephew John Warren, son of her brother Thomas Warren (1698-1752), which makes me believe that Elizabeth Storer was originally Elizabeth Warren. Jude Storer married Elizabeth Quennell in 1747. I haven't been able to find any marriages of an Elizabeth Body with possibly Henry Quennell or Elizabeth Warren with Henry Quennell in Guildford Surrey. Perhaps I have it all wrong, who knows?

Hello, I'm searching for the first marriage of Elizabeth Warren born 1689 in Bushey, Hertfordshire, daughter of Michaell and Elizabeth Warren. In her brother John Warren's Will of 1714 he leaves money to his sister Elizabeth Body, but I cannot find a marriage for Elizabeth with Mr Body. I think this woman marries four times, husband No. 3 is Mr Quennell (possibly Henry Quennell of Guildford) and No. 4 is Jude Storer in 1747 in Esher, Surrey, but am struggling to find the links. Any suggestions most appreciated.

Thank you lli, that is a great help, I will continue looking under the name How. Interestingly, it looks as though Blackmore How changed his occupation from a Silk Throwster to a Distiller.

Thank you Lily for that explanation of the Freedom of the City, that makes sense, I hadn't known that previously.
Thank you Jim, it looks as though Samuel was born 1759/60 in Wapping. I just wish Henry had named his children in his Will, it would have clarified things.

Thanks once again.

I haven't been able to find a marriage for Henry's parents - Blackmore How Wardall and Rebecca and wonder if Rebecca's maiden name was Blackmore, which would explain his unusual first name.
