thanks Neale1961, more information Edward Joseph Brennan, known as Joe, born 31st March 1897 in Lisconnor Co Clare Ireland. i was told by one of his sons he came to Sydney Australia in 1911 at the age of 14 (could be 1910 arrival) he later changed his name to his mother's
Which state did he reside in?
Changed name from Brennan to Mergan later in life.
Why are you unsure of his surname?

Where did you get the 1911 from? one of his sons told me.

Some details of the man would help, e.g. birth year and place of birth, death, sailed from where, etc.
Birth 31/3/1897, Lisconnor Co. clare Ireland, think he sailed from Ireland.
Jamjar
maiden name Mergan. stayed with his Aunty Mary Mergan who married a Jack Cosby in Randwick Sydney nsw in 1926.

Looking for any information on James Moroney, Griffiths Valuations have him as a Tenant in the Barony of Condons & Clangibbon, Union Fermoy and Parish of Castleyons in 1852. Interested to know if he had a daughter Mary who married into the Coleman family of Ballydorgan any any other information available.

Thanks for your replies.  Shaunj has tracked him down for me in NewZealand in 1861. I know he went there to fight in the Maori wars, 1860 to 1866,
thank you all for tour efforts.

Thank you very much to Nicksmum, D_ and Trishanne, for you great efforts, we certainly have some very talented people of this site. I want not expecting for anyone to take up the challenge, it seemed to hard for me. And yes I did notice that D_ even put a little polish on the shoes, nice touch.

Thanks again to you all.

Looking for information on John Collins seems he join this Battalion, he was born in approx. 1830. He had a daughter Mary Ann who died in Sth Hobart Australia on 4th May 1911. Was a friend of John Beattie-Holt in the same Battalion. They were stationed at Mullingar and Curragh Camp Ireland and was probably in Fermoy in 1860.

I have two photos that have been taken off a video, the top half in one photo and the bottom in the other. Is it possible to make one photo and clean it up? I said it was a challenge what hope do I have?
