My father was adopted by James Henderson & Edith Shorrock. He was born at Elsie Inglis Maternity Hospital in Edinburgh in 1941. His mothers real name was Barbara McFarlane Shortt. Last known address was 32 Loanfoot Gardens, Plean, Stirlingshire. James Henderson lived at 28 Red Row, Plean.
My dad was born John Borland Shortt. Not sure if Borland is a maiden name or family name. I don't wish to cause any upset to anyone i just want to continue with this branch of my family tree rather than leave it blank. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
