Anglesey Lookup Requests / Re: Sarah Higgins (nee Williams?)

Benjamin John Havelock Skobeloffe Higgins?  Not a name to easily forget!
My grandfather was his eldest boy.   I have Olive on my tree; never met her.  :(
So, would your husband be Edward Millership?
Are there any landmarks in the cemetery to help find Sam & Sarah?  I had a look on Google and it seems huge..
We are in Sandbach, Cheshire.

Hi,
Ben Higgins was my great grandfather:
Ben → William → Peter → Me

I shall be in North Wales at the weekend.  Where are Sam and Sarah buried?  I would like to visit the grave if I get a chance.

I started the family tree in 2005 when my father died and I managed to get quite a way with it over several years, but I started to run into dead-ends so it fell by the wayside.  I've picked it up again recently as there seem to be some more records online now and I've made a few advances.  How far have you gone with the tree?

Regards

Neil

Hi,

Are you still researching Sarah Higgins?  She is my 2nd great-grandmother, and I was wondering if you had made any progress with the family tree?

(I realise this is a bit late, since your original post was over 10 years ago!)

Anglesey / Re: Samuel & Sarah Higgins, Holyhead

Thank you for your help. It has certainly filled in a few gaps.

Charlotte and Alice were born in Llanberis :)

I have found marriages for William, James and Benjamin.  If you know of any others I would be glad to hear of them.

Many thanks

Neil

Anglesey / Re: Where was Albert Place in Holyhead?

I've tried Google, but I get no results.  It think has either been renamed or, more likely,  bulldozed to make way for new housing.

Thank you for the list.  I have seen something similar but as the list is arranged alphabetically I don't think that the streets listed are necessarily close to the location of Albert Place.   :(

Does any one know where Albert Place was in Holyhead?

My relatives where shown to be living there in 1885, but I can't find it on any modern map..

I'm wondering if anyone is researching the Higgins family in Holyhead?

My 2nd great-grandfather was Samuel Wilson Higgins, born in Dublin in 1835, died in Holyhead in 1901.   His wife, Sarah, was born in Caergeiliog in 1838, died in Holyhead in 1916.

Their children were Margaret Ann Higgins (b.1857),  Thomas Higgins (b.1859),  William James Higgins (b.1861),  James Condren Higgins (b.1863),  George Higgins (b.1867),  Sarah Higgins (b.1870), Charlotte Alice Higgins (b.1870),  Mary Hannah Higgins (b.1873), Annie Frances Letitia Higgins (b.1875) and Benjamin John Havelock Skobeloffe Higgins (b.1878).

Any information will be gratefully received.
