What documents show that she was born in Liverpool

There was a lot of prejudice against Irish people

Sometimes on censuses people lied about their birthplace or may not have
Known where they were born if parents died young so don't rule out this Catherine yet

Have you found common Irish ancestors to each other among your DNA matches ? RYAN is not an easy name to work with . Look at their wives surnames .

 Borders are flexible so albufera s explanation is very good

However there is a misconception that's cestry results are based on where people SAY they are from on trees

Many of my Jewish matches haveno idea where there families came from before emigration but there are known DNA indicators that have been proven to link to their communities in very specific regions this is enhanced because these communities were quite small and there were a lot of cousin marriages .I only have 1 Ashkenazi great grandfather + have found some links .

When my mother took DNA test over 15 year s ago Welsh Irish and Scottish were all classified together
Now individual markings can distinguish them

I'm hoping that specific groups for Cornwall .isle of wight .& manx will also appear .

I'm wondering if these high "Germanic" readings are connected to  particular regions
I have a maternal cousin who is showing 10 percent Germanic

Kgarrad I think you are missing out
I wonder why you read posts on the DNA forum if you are so sceptical
If you haven't taken a test yourself or researched the science you can't really comment constructively

I.read the article and I understand that the foul play suspected might have been to do with an attempted abortion

Or was the butcher suspected of butchering his wife .
Poor Fanny she took on 2 step daughters then had 4 children herself and was pregnant ( enceinte) when she died

Posts crossed Mabel

Fanny Dorcas FULLER b1859 m widower
Edwin  Parsons.a cattle dealer in 1881 lists her father as butcher

She died in 1889

So I'm.guessing the other 8 siblings died after 1911

& Their mother miscounted number of children she'd  had by 1911 or 1 has been disowned !

The FULLER s liked to use names of ancestors but I've not come across a Frances/ Fanny or Dorcas in earlier generation.

Clements daughter may have been named in her honour .

i find that truly shocking

they should be reprimanded for giving advice like that

they are in the wrong job if they dont understand the basic workings of matches .

I would report that !

Ive always found staff very helpful but only ever enquiring about subs or dna kits to purchase Ive never used their services to question records except maybe to get a clearer copy of a document

I Can only IMAGINE That SOMEWHERE  someone skipped a line on the 1939 register  and got  Iris spencer s  details mixed up with an eelderly lady on the same page the details then get put in the sysem and some people blindly copy the same details

sorry 4 capitals

i have caught myself doing this a few times where person is identified by the curser and ive slipped  to far from my individual but it shows up at the comparison stage

OH DEAR victoria that does sound scarey
im glad you are prioritising your health

  can you do video chats ? thats always fun

my sister in sweden + some cousins often do that ..not necessarily on christmas  day

im one of the people who dont send cards or buy presents
i give what i can afford to charity years ago when i lived in france i asked my nephew + neice if i could give a parcel to local beggers instead of posting things to them
they were thrilled with the idea and sometimes helped me choose what to give .

their children now do the same thing ..not necessarily at christmas
i give books to Toys on the Table
i wish id taken more to morrocco but cant carry much. the books i did take  were appreciated .

hope everyone will look after themselves this festive season + stay warm

Back from my holiday in morrocco
Glad to have missed the storm

It was sunny 😎+ temperatures did reach 21degrees but sharp fall at night and woke to  a cool 7%

Loved the food and my IBS  didn't flare up once ...I avoided dairy and nowhere has soya or oat milk so I'm really enjoying British hot chocolate
