Sussex Lookup Requests / Re: Baptism 1954 Horsham
« on: Thursday 24 August 23 20:05 BST (UK)  »
No church in the photo
Tried some local churches but they don’t have older records. Mostly only modern ones.
I can’t travel to Horsham as I am housebound.
I will see if the record office has a researcher.
Thank you
Regards Jenny

« on: Thursday 24 August 23 18:26 BST (UK)  »
We have photos of my husband on the day he was baptised, but don’t know which church, in
The Horsham area.
The nearest is St Mary’s, Horsham, or possibly the church were his patent got married about two years earlier, which was Southwater church.
The Baptism would have been about May- August 1954
Any help would be appreciated.

I shall look at the Gazzette for the time frame when they possibly got together as a couple for name change.

Dear Mc
I have thought for a long time they may have gone back to
Turkey as apparently my father loved the country and People.
I haven’t pursued this option as I can’t imagine Turkish records are easy
to access.
I looked at other countries on the shipping lines but found nothing.
Of course air travel is not searchable, modern day.
I will have a look into Turkey see what options there are for searching.
I know often BRITISH consulates send British records back here.
But don’t know about Turkey
Regards Jenny
