Hi All,
This is a bit of long shot here  but checking through my family tree of Taylor’s yes a difficult name to research in Lancashire loads of them. But found a line that I haven’t really looked it. It starts with Robert Taylor born about 1858 in or near Milnrow Lancashire ( son of Thomas and Alice ) it is believed that Robert married a Esther ? I don’t know her maiden name or date of Marriage, below is what I believe to be their children this is new to me but the interesting  bit for me is their middle names as they are names of Taylor is in my line of Taylor’s. I would be grateful on any information on Frank Douglas Taylor and Robert Harold Taylor. Thank you

Hi all,
Thank you for your help, yes I agree it is best to go for Clifford and Ellen’s Marriage Certificate.
It is interesting the Dartmoor  Prision as in an old photo album we have a photo of this prision from distance and always wonder why we had that ! I just thought they took because they were on holiday in the area.
Any way,
Thank you  for your support.

Hi all,
I have already said thank you for your replies to this post, but I would like some further advice please.
I have tried to find the birth for Clifford Andrew born about 1899, in Sale Cheshire. But no success.
I can find a birth for Clifford Hughes in east Oldham 1901. ( Ashworth mother)
How would I know which to Order ?
Also the Andrews link I was told about Clifford Andrews/ Hughes from family information pass down. But in seems they knew about it but that’s it !!
So my question is William Radcliffe Andrews, why did he have Clifford Hughes/ Andrews was Clifford Hughes Originally from Doctor Barnardo’s and William Radcliffe Andrews & Elizabeth  adopts him? At a very young age ? Can you get this information from Doctor Barnardo’s ?
Then this ask the question, on the later link of Clifford Hughes marriage to Ellen Andrews and is  this the Andrews link or strange connivance !
Any further thoughts and help would be very much appreciated, especially get advice of what Certificate to order.
Thanks Dan Tay.

Hello all,
Some help needed here if you can, this is want I Know Norman Hughes born 1923 Oldham Lancashire and is no longer living, now I Know he had a brother older Clifford Hughes born about 1920-1922, again Oldham Lancashire. Now these facts become I bit unclear Clifford Hughes and Norman’s  Hughes father was called Clifford, I have no details of their mother, now the next bit is that Older Clifford father is a William Radcliffe Andrews ?? It may be that it is something that Clifford senior came from Doctor Bernardo’s or did the father ?
I just don’t know.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you

Hello
I might know the answer to the Humphrey’s / Humphries link , I believe one or maybe more of the Humphries/ Humphrey’s moved/ retired to I O M as he made his money running a butchers shop in Oldham.
I only recently got told this story by my Dad, and I could never understand why some of my family went to I O M.
They were all very friendly and probably used the ferry I fair bit.
Not certain if this helps

Hi Ray,
Possibly no link, but I have this Alfred Watts (1856) married a Rhoda  Culverhouse 1858 - 1922 they had I believe four Children Hurbert Watts 1884-1954 Edith Mary Watts 1866- ? And finally Anne Maria Watts 1866 - 1873, and  Rosina Watts 1877 - 1929. Now married Arthur William Dallimore 1880 -1962. Arthur was the son of Job Dallimore and Mary Anne Dallimore.  Mine are from Bradford on Avon - Winsley. Job was from Thomas and Elizabeth Dallimore.
I hope this might help?
