Its all there on the link I posted Robyn. You can see the extent of all of William John Heymes property. It can be viewed on line for nothing. He died in 1891 but I think the will was 1890. When did Ned marry Frances?

Wow thanks why didnt i find this?
However the family is to say the least elusive. I cant find James anywhere apart from this cencus entry.
My great grandmother is Elizabeth Hannah Ellings (who later married Walter Harris) recorded as Elizabet A Ellings in the census. Walter was a farm worker. They both died in Truro in 1942.

All I know about the Ellings family are the fading childhood memories of my 94 year old father who considered them gypsy types ??? ;D

Trying to find information about the  Ellings family of Lamorran and Merther. Particularly James Ellings who appears on the 1861census aged 36.

I wondered if they were gypsys?

Thanks so much for all the ideas and suggestions.

one thing that doesn't make the Heyme family  easy to research is the enormous variations in Spelling!!! William Heyme apparently was in the merchant seamens register because he was a fisherman. There were over 200 pilchard boats working out of Gweek in the mid 19th century.

I have just been informed that there was a William Henry Heyme that died at Garlick? near Trentham Victoria Australia 16 April 1894. Not sure where to go from there but have my fingers crossed that this is the solution to the mystery :)

I have hit something of a brickwall with the family of William Henry Heyme and could do with some help

He is shown living in Gweek (Cornwall) in the 1851 census with with his father Gilbert, William H Heyme age 28 Lathmaker. His wife is Maria Heyme age 27 who was born in Falmouth. A dress maker.

After that William Henry and his wife just disappear off the planet! I have tried the census with various variations of the name Heyme ... but nothing. Perhaps they emigrated but haven't found any clues as to where they could have gone.

Anybody any ideas?
