I am trying to find when Thomas Eames born 19th Jan 1753 came to England from America. I know he was married in America to Lucretia Maynard 1773 and they had a daughter Lucretia A Eames 1775.
He then seems to dissapear until a marrage is recorded 29th March 1791 to Elizabeth Egleton in Stoke Mandeville Buckinghamshire. I know this is the same man but cannot find any travel records. Hope someone can help.

« on: Sunday 23 April 17 14:43 BST (UK)  »
Thankyou for getting back to me.
Peter Marshall born 1856 West Meath Ireland.
Married Mary in 1888 maybe in  Stockton-on-tees England.
Had 3 children
Mary 1889
Peter 1890
John 1892
Michael 1896
Jane 1900
He died 1919 in Stockton-on-tees
If you have any information of his life before he came to England, that is what I would be interested in.
Particularly where he was born, did he have siblings and why did he come over to England.
Hope you can help.

Thank you rosie99 and sc00p. I have now found Annie on the 1911 census.
Sc00p, Ann Cooper died 1939 was Annie's mother. How did you find the obituary? Where do I look for the Islesworth electoral roll. I am on Ancestry.

Hello.
I am in touch with his  Bertrams daughter. I didnt know about him or Annie until she got in touch with me. We are second cousins. The info I got about his mum and birthdate are all from her. From what I can gather he had a difficult relationship with his mother and my cousin has very little information about her father and her grandmother. If the birthdate that you give is correct then I have been looking at the wrong person . As for his name changing, he was called Bertram Ernest then according to records the Bertram was dropped. Its seems all very complicated . I wonder now if Annie was his birth mother.
