Census Lookup and Resource Requests / 1871 Census lookup
« on: Sunday 24 November 19 07:55 GMT (UK)  »
I have an Anthony Rubell Fouchard who married Maria Elizabeth Smith at Ashton Under Lyne in Feb 1863
They had a child Emily Louise in Aug 1862
They left for Australia in 1875
Cannot find them in the 1871 census
Can anyone help please
The spelling of Fouchard sometimes starts with a T or an S and hundreds of different spellings ???
Thanks in advance
Eddie

Meath / Re: Thomas Hand/Hann, County Meath

Hi Liam

My connection is Anne born 1836 who married a Peter Butler in Dublin

The family I have are Mary Jane 1835, Anne 1836, Margaret 1838, Anthony 1840, Catherine 1847, John 1851, Rosanna 1853, Alexander 1856, James 1858, Christina 1859, and again James 1862 but can not find the death of the first James 1858.
Mary Jane to Catherine were born in County Meath, John in Dublin, Rosanna 7 Lundy's Ct, Dublin, and the rest born at 6 Lundy's Ct, Dublin
Have not found an Elizabeth but the date would make her born in County Meath
I found John 1851, married in 1873 and died 1914 in Massachusetts. Father Thomas and Mother Jennie Miller

Shropshire / Re: Looking for Chilton's

As I stated before, you must have a different Thomas Chilton and family than ours
Thomas Chilton and Martha Henry's child was Eliza Mary (not Mary Elizh) born in 1850 not 1860 and married in 1868 as Elizabeth
Eliza being only 18 when she married needed permission of her guardian Catherine Horan a relation of her mother
Eliza did not marry again as her husband did not die until 1913 and she died in 1931

Hi Ross

You must have a different Thomas Chilton to ours
Our Thomas Chilton did marry Martha Henry in 1844 but he did not die in 1853 nor did he drown
His daughter Eliza Mary did not marry Louis Barnett

No birth for a James but a search for John with mother Emma
Reg. No 8261/1867, Family Name BRYANT, Name JOHN, Father none, Mother EMMA, District CARCOAR
Reg. No 8261/1867, Family Name MACKEY, Name JOHN, Father JOHN, Mother EMMA, District CARCOAR
Reg. No 8261/1867, Family Name MCKEY, Name JOHN, Father JOHN, Mother EMMA, District CARCOAR
Evidently from the numbers they are all the same person, why the different registrations I don't know
Not sure if the SARAH mentioned before and this John are related though

A search of the NSW births with child's name Sarah and mothers name Emma from 1861 to 1863 came up with this
It is the only one that is even close to your search but may be not close enough
Reg. No 12381/1862, Family Name MACCOOEY, Name SARAH, Father JAMES, Mother EMMA, District PENRITH
Reg. No 12381/1862, Family Name MCCOOEY, Name SARAH, Father JAMES, Mother EMMA, District PENRITH

Sure would

I take it you haven't heard from OT since may 2015, thought you would have got a photo by now

Have you got anywhere with M J Wadsworth, I have given up on her being from Scotland
Doesn't seem to be a Mary Jane Wadsworth born/registered in Scotland

I am re-looking at the Mary Jane Wadsworth christened at Manchester Cathedral as her father was a waste dealer
No birth date on the record so could have been born 3 or 4 years earlier and somewhere else
Christened with her brother John Alexander 11th July 1858, don't have copy of his record yet

Regards
