Thanks for all the helpful posts. Rachel was born on 1st October, 1889 in Shildon. Her parents were William and Jane Raine. Rachel was married to Thomas Stephenson at St Michael's, South Westoe on 15th October, 1910. I had found some of the deaths mentioned but discounted them for the reasons given. I also wondered about the remarriage but couldn't find anything.

I am looking for information on Rachel Stephenson, nee Raine. I have been unable to find the date of her death. Her husband Thomas died in 1918 off Trow rocks in South Shields. They had one son named Alfred.

I am looking for information on the family of William Stephenson and his son Thomas who died in 1918 in South Shields. Thomas married Rachel Raine in 1911 and they had a son Alfred in 1912. I have searched unsuccessfully for the death of Rachel, did she die before Thomas or just after as Alf was then brought up by his aunt Ada Hansen
