Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Re: Thomas WARD, Caistor registers

Fabulous! Thank you. I shall go browse for family. I thought I checked that website yesterday and it came up blank for Caistor. Probably my poor typing. Thanks again. :)

Thank you. Itís tempting to claim the 1782 entry, but every other record I have of him points to 1789 at Caistor. I need to check the original register to rule out a transcription error or maybe a missed later entry. I donít think digital images of the Caistor registers are online.

Does anyone have access to the Caistor parish registers please?
I am looking for the baptism of Thomas WARD in, or very close to, the year 1789. Thank you.

Thank you. I got a free upgrade to the 2014.1 version but that doesn't sync with Ancestry either. I have to pay £60 for the 2017 version. Annoying when I paid full price for the original version.
Do you know if any other programmes sync with Ancestry? I seem to recall that there is/was another.

After an enforced break from my genealogical research I now find my Family Tree Maker 2014 programme no longer syncs with Ancestry. Iím a bit miffed that they want £59.99 to upgrade to FTM2017, especially as it appears the programme is no longer fully supported by Ancestry.
Is it worth paying for this upgrade or should I buy different software? I donít want to pay out for FTM2017 if itís lifespan is already limited. Thank you.  : )

This 1882 supplement of the Ann Molyneaux Charity, gives interesting information on some 66 needy Liverpool families. They appear to be the widows and families of deceased mariners.
I hope it is of interest and use.  :)
P.s. Scroll right across for all the information about the families

Thank you. I thought it probably would solve the problem but needed confirmation. Thanks again :)

Technical Help / Duplicate entries on Ancestry
« on: Saturday 25 March 17 09:10 GMT (UK)  »
I have somehow managed to duplicate a line on my Ancestry tree. I've dealt with most of it but 2 entries are left and I'm not certain if I should just delete these or merge them. If I merge the two Amos Freed entries will that restore the tree? The fact sources are the same for both. The rogue entries are ringed in red, the correct pair are to the right, ticked green. I expect this is a ridiculously simple task but I'll be grateful for guidance please. Thank you. :)
