hi romilly, how are you, long time since i`ve been on here, i can see there`s a bit of confusion as to where st helens rd starts & ends, but the photo i posted for you is st helens rd, when it passes the crown crt, it tapers of to the left, down to mumbles rd, which is on the seafront, st helens ave is further over... and the road passing the guildhall is called guild hall south.. hope this helps.. i have checked my a-z, and it is all accurate// best wishes .. sharon

i noticed your post with some intrest, i`m currently researching my smith & hunt surnames from gloucs...
the smith surname being a right headache to research..
i have a elizabeth smith in my records,who`s parents or grandparents, relatives etc.. could possibly have been hunt, could you give anymore info off the marriage cert for elizabeth,

hi to all..
i`m currently researching my tree, and have been told that i have gypsy decendants, from hawkesbury gloucs & london.. the surname smith -hunt.. my grt grt grt grandfather was george smith-hunt, his father was william smith- hunt, i have found them igi search. but it does`nt give any info other than d.o.b`s.. where can i find proof of them being gypsies.. they were ostlers and horse dealers and ag labourers.. any takers..

the names i have are.. william smith sarah hunt
my grt grt grt grandfather was born george smith-hunt 1832 hawksebury
william died 1839
when george married he dropped the hunt
on his death cert it`s george smith hunt, so it`s all very confusing
george married a Ann Beard, from chipping sodbury, i`ve checked the igi num.. and found george`s birth details, but nothing more..

there was also a keizah smith, who a sister of george..is that a gypsy name.. there is also a selina, who is george`s grandaughter.. hope this does`nt sound to confusing

hi there, i`ve been researching my smith line, who were from hawkesbury gloucs, i`ve been told that they were gypsies.. who camped on hawkesbury common, and petty france

.. there is also another family who is connected..surname hunt, does anyone have any info, or knowledge of this..

it`s sharon here, st gabriels church is still there, it`s a big church, right next to st helens cricket ground, i was in there the other day. it`s on bryn road, st helens swansea.. easy to find
