There is a story behind this query my grandmother Catherine Taggart gave birth to a child registered as Charles John Taggart in 1888 in Prospect House Portstewart he appeared on the 1901 Web Ireland census under the name Charles John Taggart living with his grandparent Mary Ann Taggart nee Wallace  who had a sister Matilda Wallace, on Matilda Wallace's DC he signed himself as John O'Neill
The next time I found him he was in the Army under the name of Charles John O'Neill and gave his next of kin as Mrs Catherine O'Neill or Cockburn my grandmother this was then scored out and my grandmother's sister's name put in instead he died in 1963 in Kilsyth Scotland as Charles John O'Neill formerly Taggart
I am assuming that he was either the son of Henry O'Neill or Henry O'Hara O'Neill both of who were I believe were resident in Prospect House in 1888 at the time of his birth so I am looking for a bit more information about the O'Neill family

I am extemely happy with what you have both found for me I feel quite confident in having the correct family now and having Alfred's brother settled in the same area seems to me to confirm it
I must get back to using Family Search again it seems most productive
