I have carried on researching Benjamin Harvey and his family.  I have found more children with his first wife, Hannah Lattimore.  He had 5 children with her and have managed to confirm their births and deaths.

However, i haven't made much progress sadly as regards his children with Eliza Partridge and think I will have to eventually order certificates to confirm the information I have to date.

Thanks again for helping me in this matter so far.  Samanthator

Thank you for the information about Daughter Eliza's possible marriage to Frederick Brockhouse.  I have provisionally added this to Eliza's Profile and thus added her daughter Muriel Clarice as well.

However, I agree with you that the dates of birth do not tally so am doubtful and have thus added that I am actively researching Eliza still and that there is a possible error in the Profile to alert other Family History researchers in consequence.

I also agree the only way to check this is by ordering a Marriage Certificate of this possible marriage especially as another Family Tree shows the Eliza to be the daughter of William Howdle Harvey and Eliza Jones - with the different birth of date but the same GRO Birth Index as I have.

Hallo again

Rosie 17 -
Thank you for your post - I have now updated my records following the information you so kindly found for me.  I can see why I missed this on FindMyPast as I was concerned that there might be more David Harveys and i had noted one of the items in his profile on my Family Tree wrongly.  Thanks again as with your help I have now recorded all the sources about his sad short life correctly.

Thank you for trying to help me but I am slightly puzzled by your reply as I had Eliza's birth happening in 1873 so I am now looking at all my sources and relevant websites as to what the situation is.

amondg -
Thank you also for the information you have found for me - I am still in the process of following it all up so cannot reply completely but wanted you to know how grateful I am for your help.

Hallo everyone - First of all thank you for bothering to read this post.

I am researching my 2nd Great Grandfather, Benjamin Harvey and his descendants.

In particular most of his children from his 2nd marriage to Eliza Partridge.

I think I have completed my research into my Great Grandfather John Thomas Harvey (1862-1931) - as per my Public Tree on ancestry.com - Pezzey Tree

However although I have all the following names of his siblings with their approximate birth dates and Census information from the years - 1861, 1871, 1881 & 1891 - I have been unable to find out what happened to the following children since 1891 - despite visiting the Sandwell Archives personally several times including a couple of weeks ago sadly.  All were born in West Bromwich.

Elizabeth - Q3 1858
David - Q2 1860
Benjamin - Q1 1865
Emily - Q4 1866
Sarah - Q4 1869
Eliza - Q1 1872

I intend to order Digital Images of all of these births from the GRO very soon.

I have most if not all the information about their parents until their deaths included in my profiles of both of them on my Tree.

I am intrigued that my great grandfather seems to be the only child that had a middle name - quite odd and that is one of the reasons I was looking for the other children's baptisms recently.

In addition, I am a member of Findmypast so have carried out research on that website as well as of course using other very useful websites such as Family Search, FreeBMD & freereg.org.uk and others.

The other problem that has occurred unfortunately is that if they were located in nearby villages and towns such as Oldbury, Halesowen, Rowley Regis etc. that relevant sources could be found under Salop (Shropshire) and Worcestershire especially as the diocese for this area during several years was Worcester Diocese.

Any help in furthering my research into these Great GreatAunts and GreatUncles will be very gratefully received.

Thank you once more for reading this Lookup Request - Samanthator

Update -

I still don't know the exact date but I have now received information from Herbert Gerald's niece stating that he was cremated at Lawnswood Cemetery, Otley Road, Adel, Leeds and that his sister then took the ashes to Stonefall Cemetery, Wetherby Road, Halifax, to be scattered on his father's grave there.

However, I haven't found Herbert's funeral either but will keep trying to trace evidence of both.

Thank you all for your help in this matter.

Hi Brian and Amondg

Thank you for your responses - so very helpful - I have passed your information onto my son and hopefully he will follow up your suggestions.

He doesn't have the death certificate - not sure if his Dad has - because they never got to meet him before he died and I gather only met his niece a couple of time about 5 years ago.  I have given my son the information he needs to submit to the GRO for the Death Certificate and that should help if they follow that up.

The address is the one my son has so it looks as if that might be where he was living with one of the sisters before he died.

Thanks again - Viv

I have been trying to find where his sisters were living in Leeds but haven't been able to trace them on the Electoral Registers.

His elder sister, Mary Vera, never married - she was born on 8 August 1904 and died in Leeds on 29 January 1988.

His younger sister, Isabel Tones, was born on 9 April 1912, married Cyril Blamire Thresh in September 1938 and died in Leeds on 12 July 1980.  They had one daughter in October 1942 who married and was still living in Leeds in November 1988.
