Yes I think you are absolutely correct it makes sense.  I noticed the handbrake isn't exactly operative where it is.  Also the bonnet from the start of the louvered cowls to the front of the car appears awkward and clumsy it almost seems that the front of the car should end after the 5th louvre.  I guess they enjoyed the rebuild though.

I agree Mike the front end is very distinctive and may well have been repatriated.  I always thought the WW1 staff cars were the Vauxhall D-Type but when I look at images of these although there are a few similarities the front end of the Vauxhall is much shorter. It almost looks as though the one in question has the back end of the Vauxhall and the front end of an unknown, maybe a Mercedes.

Can anyone put a name to the 1st. car shown, it's a real beast of a thing.  Look at the size of the brake drums and I love the horn.

Historically Priests would have tenure in one parish.

The Code of Canon Law favors the stability of a parish pastor, making it a law that pastors are to be assigned for an “indeterminate” amount of time.

These days with the shortage of priests such rules would probably not apply however it would be determined by the local Bishop.
