Don't know if it helps but I believe Tedesco and Tedeschi are ITALIAN for ' The German/s '
A while back there was a large firm selling ceramic tiles ( probably imported from Italy ) called Tedesco Tiles, I think they had a branch in Kilmarnock.

I've expanded it and it looks odd that the Line is so broken compared to the others and separated from the letters such that I suspect the lower parts of the letters are missing ... they look like a collection of e, o and a possibly u, r etc!    An unliikely combination ... however, I tried to make Alexander fit but there's an extra letter.

Sounds like ... Skene - Skeen
In the 50s and 60s the Crown Hotel in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, Scotland was owned by a Mrs Skene.
Worth checking ?
