I don't think the jean with the maiden name livingstone could be my jean as she was named as jane nisbet but thank you for the time you have taken to help me.

thanks rosie, in my family tree I have found that most of my janes were known as jean. my own mum was jane but was always known as jean.
I have been trying to contact mount royal cemetery online but so far i just keep getting that the page is not available. i will keep trying.
could you please tell me if there are any census records for 1930 quebec. the family may show up on the census there before jean died.
thanks once more.

thank you rosie for the information. I think it is my jane as she is never found with the rest of the family in later years.

Canada / Jane McCallum Nisbet/Nesbit
« on: Monday 10 October 16 14:34 BST (UK)  »
Jane McCallum Nisbet was born in 1927 in Hamilton Scotland.
She emigrated in 1930 to Canada with her mother Isabella Toner & brother Henry Nisbet to join their father in nova scotia.
with help I found out about father John Nisbet, mother Isabella & son Henry but I have no information about Jane.
I would like to find out if possible what became of her.
any help/advice would be so good.
thanks

I have lost a good lot of the information I had on my Hamilton family.
they stayed in the carnwath area & I was wondering if they were buried at carnwath.
WILLIAM HAMILTON died 1897 & his wife MARGARET KERR died 1894.
thanks for any help.

good morning
I would appreciate a photo of the headstone in the globe cemetery of NISBET & FERGUSON. I am keeping my fingers crossed they are of Jane Nisbet & Robert Ferguson who lived in Motherwell.
with many thanks

I have been back on SP & I couldn't find a death certificate for mary laurie in 1799, but Thomas died in 1799. I did find the death of one mary laurie on 1/1/1773 at castairs (others were all Glasgow). unfortunalely this certificate yielded no other info.
should I be looking for a death certificate in the name of mary forrest rather than mary laurie.
thanks again
margaret
