« on: Thursday 03 March 11 12:15 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Carole and Mo

Carole; Thank you for that information! I never realised before that date that the fathers details were not recorded!

Mo; Thank you so much for the information from the Sussex marriage index,
You have given me a good few clues to work on! Will definitely check out the Middlesex marriage and Brighton baptisms
Thanks also for the William and Frances Taylor link.
Fingers crossed for any brick wall breakthroughs!

All best wishes
Sam

Sussex Lookup Requests / St Nicholas, Brighton. Marriage Look up please
« on: Wednesday 02 March 11 23:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hello
I would be really grateful if anyone is able to look up a marriage in St Nicholas church, Brighton.
I have the date of 22nd June 1830.
The marriage between George Edward Allender and Eliza Anne Taylor.

I have hit a real brick wall with the Taylor line and just hoping that if found the parish record would show the parents/father of Eliza.
The only other information is that Eliza was born in Limehouse 1808 . A newspaper cutting of the marriage described her father as 'Mr Taylor esq' of Limehouse and Eliza was the youngest daughter.

Thanks and best wishes
Sam

Thank you Jo and Garstonite for your replies!
I am so very grateful for your help. I have certainly more leads to work on now!
Please accept my aplogies for not replying and thanking you sooner.
I did think that John and Elizabeth Moore could be the parents  of Mary... but I am just looking for the elusive piece of jigsaw that links up!
Jo,I would love to have more information on the Freeman database if that is possible.

Cheshire / Moore.. Cheshire help anyone?
« on: Sunday 11 October 09 22:03 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I know it is a long shot but I am trying to find out any information on the family of Mary Moore born 1780/81 in Cheshire.
The only information I have is that she married  George Allender (from London) in 1801 in Chester (St Johns) George Allender was a Hatter with a shop in Chester and was once for a term Sheriff of Chester.
The only other information I have is that the witnesses at the marriage were; John Moore, Elizabeth Moore and Sarah Ellis.
I would be so grateful for any help as I have hit a total brickwall!

Many thanks and Kind regards

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could help in providing any information on the surname Homan.
My great grandfather was Patrick Homan and on the England census is listed as being born in Queens county Ireland. born approx 1846
I just cannot find any information about the Homan surname anywhere!

It does not seem to be a traditional Irish surname yet he has the first name Patrick?
I would be so grateful if anyone can help, any information would be gratefully received

Thank you in advance!
