Thank you both your replies, they do make a lot of sense as RAF Calshot was also a seaplane base so no runways. I found a lovely site on the base. I just wish my Father and talked about his time there.

My Father W,J,Jones was stationed for a short time at RAF Calshot and on his records it stated  Duties or Branch of Service as  A.C.H. u/t Inst.Rep and his Archive Ref as Air28_124  (can one advise me what these references mean please. His Rank was AC2 ,(I am aware what this means and his service number was 924665

I wonder if anyone can help I am looking for the burial place for Emma.
Emma was married to John Talbot  on the 30th September 1853 and lived at New Buildings Frome which is now a conservation area.

Emma Talbot my GGGrandmother  died on the 6th December 1873 Frome. cause of death was Burnt accidentally by here clothes catching fire- Emma was not well and was in bed and a lighted candle apparently fell over and her clothes caught fire,it must have been awful and her 3 young children where at home at the time and tried to put the fire out-Emma died shortly afterward. Her husband John was at work at the time . Can any one help me by telling me  which cemetery Emma might be buried in please
