HI I am researching the McColm and McCombe link. I have Alexander McColm b 1763 married to Ann Agnes Park and one in 1794 maried to Jane Summers for my husbands direct line. Are these the same for you? Happy to share information.

hi

i am going around in circles with this- wondered if anyone had any clues-

Florence Lily Berrett 1890 married Henry Rogers (my great great grandparents).

in 1939 there is a child called Edith May born 1917 states that was 'assisting father.' and with the above, but the surname (Rogers) was crossed off and put Hillard (which is her marrried name- but doesn't marry until 1941 to George C Hillard).

Also to confuse it more when I look at her birth details it says mothers maiden name in Perrett. (vol5c, pg 623 april 1917).

Is this a mistake and meant to be Berrett as per Florence's name or something else- there were Perretts living close by William John Edwin Perrett married to Lucy Katherine Turner Latham married in 1881, there children were born between 1882- 1900 though, so the 1917 birth of Edith???,???

Any ideas or have i gone down a rabbit hole?

thanks for any thoughts on this.

Hi

With a lot of help i have tracked down john silvester franks  1869 who went to south africa when he was 1 on the city of london boat from liverpool.

I am unable to see who he travelled with. He went to bedford in south africa

Any ideas how to find out and why they would have gone there from south wales?

Tia
