Could anyone help translate this please? It's a will (or at least the administration) from 1723. It is for Thomas Jerom and I think it mentions his brother, but is the name William?

Yes you're right, sorry, I was looking at the birth of their daughter Mary born in 1867. So not to much difference in dates, and they have done the same on the birth of later children. Why the change of name though?

I'm waiting on the civil marriage, hopefully it will arrive in the next few days.
Mary and Catherine could possibly be the same child, I haven't found any further reference to Mary. They have completely different birthdates, not why I have Mary down as August, on her BC it is March.
The daughter of Thomas Brennan, born in 1854 isn't the same Mary as in the screenshot. The daughter born in 1854 died in 1856.

Hi all,
I was wondering why an alias would be mentioned on a catholic marriage record. I've been looking for a DNA connection with one of my matches so have started a tree to look for possible connections. I have latched on to the names William Naughton and Bridget Murphy because they were born in Ireland and I have an Irish brick wall. However they were married in Walsall in 1855 as Brian Naughton and Bridget Murphy, but the catholic record also gives the name Thomas Brennan as an alias, I was wondering what the reason for this maybe. To further complicate matters, his name changes with the various children they have. He is either Brian, Bernard or William (see screenshot), but only William on the various censuses. I have found a Thomas Brennan who married in Wolverhampton in 1854, but have no further evidence of him after the death of his daughter, Mary, in 1856. Could they possibly one in the same. To be honest the research has been a nightmare especially with the surname Naughton, but I feel I need to tidy this all up before moving on.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm trying to place where he was in early 1932, before march, so it would be a matter of finding out where the Bridging School was, and the meaning of C.I.F.
Buckley House in the next line was I believe in Chatham, part of the Kitchener Barracks.
