Thanks for that, we are going to see an original (we got an estimate it was for £800!! so thought we might as well have a mini-break and go to London for a few days, it's much cheaper!!)

Hi  :) I've spoke to my mum and she doesn't know if they are original or not but the houses have been there at least forty years, thats as long as she has lived around the corner. I have taken some photo's unfortunately they have a rather large hedge so much of the house is obscured. If you could PM me your e-mail address i Will send you the photo's i have taken.

Hi Barnford, if that is the Wensor ave you are looking for i can take a photo if you wish, my mum lives just around the corner and i will be there on Sunday as she is having a big family get together, so taking a couple of pics will be no trouble  :)

Hi, sorry i should have made it clear, NFHS stands for Nottingham Family History Society and they have transcribed marriages, burials and baptisms.
You can buy the discs from the society, but if you ask on her for help one of us will be able to help you.
I did notice there was another Budworth called William who did at the workhouse a few years later aged 60.
Here is the NFHS website

Here are two sites you could try

http://institutions.org.uk/workhouses/england/notts/nottinghamshire_workhouses.htm

And this site which is the best for workhouse information

http://www.workhouses.org.uk/
