It's been a long time since your original post, so you may have already found the following:
You can find George on the 1911 census in Hartlepool living with his son Percy. Percy's daughter Olive Jane was my grandmother.
George died in 1917 in Hartlepool and his wife Fanny (Frances Louisa Ingham) died in 1905 in Hartlepool.
