I wondered if that is the connection.  I think my furthest back is Thomas (1610)

My e-mail is *m and I would be interested in any Oswald info.

I have Catherine Yardley too, and Theodora and Ambrosine.  I wonder where they got those names from??  Patricia sounds normal in contrast!  I do have photographs of her and of William Digby Oswald but I must ask Michael before sharing them.  I doubt if he will mind!

Does your ancestor have Thomas and Isabella as parents or have I miscalculated somewhere?

Regards

Sheila

Michael's mother was Patricia Catherine Digby Oswald (1914-2002)  We know the Digby comes from the family with Jane Digby in it.  (There's lots of interesting things about her on the web!)  Patricia's father was William Digby Oswald, son of Thomas Ridley Oswald.  As Digby wasn't part of the family name before Thomas and I can't see any connection on the Oswald side I think it might have come from Wilhelmina's side.

Which Oswald was your Gran?

Hi!

Did you find out anything more about Wilhemina Catherine Russell?  She is on a tree that I am researching for a friend.

I've just realised you are Jan's sister!  Roger's Mum was Barbara's sister Olive.

I knew of course that Bert was violent to Barb and Jen hated him.  I know very little about Bert.  Did you ever get the wedding certificate?  Barb says very little about him and I don't really feel it is my place to question her and upset her.  She is such a sweetie!  My e-mail address is roger.sharman@ntlworld.com if you would like to correspond off line!

Best wishes

Sheila

Albert Harnblow was an elusive character.  He was married to my husband's aunt Barbara Hewitt.  I would be grateful for any information you have on him.
