Hi Susan

Dunham is covered on the Notts FHS Burial index and she is not there.

East Drayton isn't on there, but I will have a look next time I go to the Records Office.  It might not be until the end of March though.

Carol

Hi Carol,

Just wondered if Ragnall was covered on the Notts Burial index? There were Hempstocks there at the time. Only being about a mile or so from Dunham there is a chance Mary could be there. Cover all bases so to speak.

In 1901 there are 13 people living with Agnes - do you want all the details of all 13?

~ Claire

Hi Claire,

Thanks very much for your help. I suspect that there are no other Bloomfields in the list of thirteen, so just the details of the head of household and the address of the residence would be ideal if that is possible.

Many thanks

Hi,

I am hoping to find the census records in 1891 for Agnes Bloomfield, born 1879 Eckington Derbyshire. At the time of the census Agnes was in Barnsley with her mother Hannah (b:1850 Eckington)) and possibly father William.

The 1901 census records are again for Agnes and her mother Hannah. Agnes is known to be living in Elland at the time and is employed as a housemaid domestic. Hannah is in the civil parish of Ardsley, Barnsley.

All help is appreciated

Thanks omskirk, I am grateful of your help and appreciate your time.
The whereabouts of some of these Bloomfields have been unknown for a lot of years, I am sure a little longer isnn't going to matter.  ;D ;D

i can see the susan aged 42 on 1901 she is as you say a stuff weaver she is down as married with 5 children maude, edith, levi, hilda, bertha
but i cannot for the life of me see a susan wardman aged 48

Very strange  ???

I have been onto this site and done individual searches for the same people in 1901.

www.uk1901census.com/free-search.php

Again, they all appear. They were living in the Bowling area of Bradford. The address, or at least the area was something that I was hoping to find from this lookup. On this site a search for Sam brought nothing. He did however appear as Samuel and again employed as a card grinder. Also I found what may look like another family member, James Wardman (1885). There were one or two Wardman families in the Bowling area so couldn't confirm that. The 1891 census should deal with that problem but I am intrigued why they do not appear in your 1901 records.

Which list are you using in your search because i can't find a Gent Wardman on the 1901 either.  He's there on the 1871,1881 and 1891.  I've tried different names but cant find him,

I made the search on www.1901censusonline.com

I also made individual searches for the other family members, Susan, Sam and Jesse. They all appeared. There were two Susans, both employed as stuff weavers. One was 42 yrs and the other 48 yrs.

Possibly more clues here. If I have got the right Sam back in 1881, then the father was Gent Wardman. Strange name, but he does appear again here in a 1901 indivdual search.

1901
Name                      Age        Where born        Administrative county        Civil parish
Gent Wardman   45       Yorks Bradford               Bradford                    Bradford

Also in 1881, the wife/mother in the family was Susan (1853) and a sibling for Sam named Jesse  (1880).
