A huge thank you to everyone who replied to this post. Due to your excellent research skills I’m now in contact with not one but two relatives of Ms Andrews. If anyone wants their real name in the acknowledgements of the book you can send me a private message or contact me through my Twitter Page Standeven Searcher.

Thank you all for this information. The link to the Gainsborough couple is great, thank you. So to recap (It's all rather complicated or is that just me)

If Margaret Daphne Andrews married Michael Garcia in 1968 and Herman Haefke married Sabine in 1966 when was Margaret  married to Herman?

Where does Mr Carmichael come into it who she had a son with?

This has been remarkably helpful. Clicking on the link for Herman's obituary it mentions his children. One of them shares the surname with the lady who posted the original wedding photo. Googling his name brings a photo of one of the people in the wedding photo, that includes Felicity and Guy, (but he's obviously older). So the link is there but why isn't Daphne mentioned?

Intriguing stuff, thank you. My only other lead is that someone posted on their Twitter page a picture of Guy and Felicity at a wedding. Looks like late 70's. They captioned it with 'just found out I'm related to Guy Standeven (Granatis and Olgarth in Knightmare*) by marriage" When I contacted this young lady she wouldn't tell me anything further or who the other four people are in the photo one I suspect is Felicity's sister (Guys sister thinks it is). She also insisted that I don't post the picture online (she's since removed it but I have a copy) and to not contact her again so hence I'm not naming her here!

My book on Guy Standeven is effectively complete. It was this fine website that led me to contact his sister and nephew but it has been terribly frustrating with regards finding any information about his partner Felicity Andrews. Apart from the information above the only additional information is that her sister was probably called Daphne. The British Newspaper Archive has provided some articles that name a Felicity and Daphne Andrews that are likely them. I would still love to contact relatives of Felicity but all avenues have led alas to a dead end. Any advice?

This site has been wonderful in finding information about the late actor Guy Standeven whose biography I'm writing. Now I'm after some help on finding any information about his partner Felicity Andrews. Together from the early 1960's to his death in 1998 (they lived in Hampton Wick) Felicity would live a further ten years and die in 2008. They never married or had children. Felicity was born 30/06/1931 and died 24/01/2008 at Ashton Lodge Nursing Home, Spelthorne Grove, Sunbury. She was born in Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland and had a sister (alive as of 2008, current whereabouts unknown). Guys sister tells me that she was a member of the Andrews family, who posed for the famous painting by Gainsborough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry Sarah. I didn’t realise that was against the rules. I will try other avenues.

I wonder if anyone can help with this request. It's a shot in the dark but here goes. In 1974 Guy appeared in a series of plays at the Royal Court. It was part of the Young Observers Magazine Competition in which winning playwrights could get their plays performed by a professional cast and crew. There were 7 plays performed and I've managed to track down four of the writers. The three remaining are Sheila Wright who was 11 at the time and wrote a piece called Maggie's Fortune and Mark Edwards who was 15. His play was called Big Business. The third chap was James Clarke who I've tracked down but have yet to receive a reply. He's a musician now. Can anyone help trace Sheila and Mark?
