London and Middlesex / Kenny/ Morgan Lambeth/ Wandsworth
« on: Thursday 03 November 22 09:47 GMT (UK)  »
HI all,

Looking for information on John Kenny (1854-1917?) Born in Wandsworth.

I am struggling to find any information on his parents, other than his father was called John Kenny also.

I have found an 1871 census which states that John (b.1854 Wandsworth) & his sister Emma (b1851? london,Mdx) Lived in the parish of St Mary the Less. They lived as the son & daughter of Emma Morgan  a shirt maker from Portsmouth? It says Emma Morgan was a widow, but if she was their mother, why would she be down as Morgan?

The only other thing I though was Emma Married John Kenny (Sr), had Emma and John. John Kenny (Sr.) then died and she then re-married a Mr Morgan?

Any help in this matter would be great! As I'm terrible with date finding!

Thank you!

Norfolk / Norfolk Warners 17th Century Help
« on: Wednesday 08 June 22 15:46 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

Wondering if you can provide some help.

I Have a Samuel Warner born 1689, Baptised 20th November 1689 In Aldborough. He Married Hannah Parker in 1717 North Walsham, Norfolk.

Samuel/ Samuell's Father was Thomas Warner B.1651 (to Thomas & Ann ???) Samuel's mother was Mary Rouse/ Rous from Flordon, Norfolk. (I couldn’t find a Mary on Free reg baptised in that parish at any year.
Thomas & Mary were married 9th November 1689 in Flordon. I thought it strange they would marry only a week or so prior to the baby’s arrival.

On the Parish Register, it mentioned Thomas was a Widower and Mary Was Single. It states that Thomas was from Swainsthorpe (does this just mean where he resided, or was born? however, I cannot find a record of a Thomas Warner born in Swainsthorpe, only Aldborough )

I've based some searches on Thomas being married in Swainsthorpe and of marrying age I've found two results:

* I’ve found a record of a Thomas Warner Marrying a Mary Taylour in 1678, in Swainsthorpe when he was 27 years old. However, one record says he was from Matlaske.
* Another Entry shows a Thomas Warner Married an Elizabeth Turner, He was from Newton.

I imagine this is a complete dead end, and I'm looking at weddings for the wrong Thomas. :o

Any Help would be greatly appreciative. I feel like I'm going around in circles Or going off on completely wrong tangents!  :'(

Perhaps that could be him. I've found sources from others saying my Samuel was born in worstead (only a few miles from north walsham) 1727 son of Robert Warner (1705–1739) & Mary Mileham.   ???

Norfolk / Help on a Samuel Warner 1727 & His wife Mary
« on: Saturday 04 June 22 17:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

I'm trying to find some information on a Samuel Warner Born 1727? -1774 (Died in North Walsham? I'm guessing that's correct as all his children were born in that Parish)
His parents Robert 1705-1739? & Mary ??

I can see he married a Mary (my guess born approx 1724  as sweetman?/ swatman? I found a Mary Swatman baptised as 'bastard? (cant really read it)' of a Alice swatman in Wramplingham 1724 maybe this is her?)

Children
Hannah 1744-
Thomas 1746-
Samuel 1748-1770?
John 1750-1799?

I found there was a marriage between Samuel Warner (Widower) & Mary Thompson in 1756 North Walsham. So one would believe Mary, his first wife had died & Samuel had re-married. I'm stuck to find any parish burials for Mary in North Walsham for around this time. I've found records for further away, but i'm unsure why she would of been buried miles away from where her family had lived?

I can't really find any information on both of them, I'm wondering if there was any insight?

Thank you!

I Have found a relative went to Australia (Alfred waite warner 1825-1857)- I cant find out the reason why, a Criminal perhaps? hmm ???. But I've found that He married & had children. One of the Children Alfred George Warner 1858-1861 was found dead at the Caledonia Gully, Victoria, AUS. I have found that it was a some sort of gold mine? I've found a letter written by his mother Rebecca Warner on her account of his death. Can anyone Decipher it?

London and Middlesex / Re: Looking for information on William Carter Snr & Jr.
« on: Tuesday 06 October 20 14:02 BST (UK)  »
Well, to be honest, I'm not 100% sure! I was only going off what the other had on Ancestry! I just didn't understand their timelines

I did find two William Carters born in 1749 local to Greenwich
1- 1749-1817 Born & Buried in St Giles Camden (Incorrect as my William was buried in St Alphege's)
2- 1749 Born St Sepluchre Newgate London - Father Thomas Carter  from here to Greenwich is not very far at all, couple of hours walk.

but God knows, he could have been born anywhere in the UK! I would of thought though, not many people would have emigrated so far across the country. And most would of moved only a few miles ?
