I did a clean up and  touch-up of the pic, restored the rest of the picture and removed the rest of the person who was standing on the ladies' left side.

Gave a bit of cleaning and removed much of the angle of the writing. Hope it's easier to read.

Added a static filtered of the far right section.

It's a composited photo. The gentleman on the left would be standing at an extreme angle to match the person on the right sitting down if he were set level. The uniform on the left is either Late WW1 or early WW2 dress uniform. Could be a generational thing.
