I’m a descendant the Curtis Family of Abbey St., Brassfounders. My mother’s father was Kevin Curtis, Brassfinisher, born 1891, to William Curtis Of Dublin  (1858-1941) & Catherine Doyle of Wicklow (1855-1947). Williams parents were Joseph Curtis of Dublin (1833-1890) & Sarah Stoker of Dublin (1837-1909). Joseph married Sarah in St. Brides Church(COI) on 13 April 1857. It seems that their children William 1857 & Edward 1872 were baptized both in COI & RC churches. William & Catherine & family are all listed as RC on the 1901 & 1911 Census’s in Bloomfield Park, Dublin. Edward Curtis was listed as Joseph’s father on his marriage cert. I found a Death notice (on FindMyPast) in the Cork Examiner of 15 July 1863 for Edward Curtis, Brass founder, 23 Chancery Lane, aged 72yrs (died 13 July 1863).  I’ve visited Mount Jerome Cemetery and was disappointed to learn that both Joseph & Edward were buried in common graves. Edward would have been born circa 1791 according to death notice.
